Moment becomes the onboard entertainment service provider for OUIGO, SNCF Voyageurs’ low-cost offer. This strategic partnership will enable the rail operator to enhance the customer experience on board its high-speed trains. The €5 OUIFUN offer, combining Internet access and entertainment thanks to a rich and regularly updated multimedia content catalog for all ages, is now available this year. The option is available when booking with the OUIGO+ all-inclusive option pack, or directly on board via the OUIFI portal.
For OUIGO, Moment has developed a technology based on a wireless system. It enables passengers to connect directly to a local cloud in order to access content from their personal electronic devices (smartphone, tablet or laptop). This system has the advantage of offering immediate access to the entertainment catalog with optimal broadcasting conditions. By hosting content on a local media server, this approach significantly improves loading speed and content delivery quality.
Thanks to Moment’s technology, more than 24 million passengers a year can take advantage of a digital offer to follow their journey in real-time and enjoy a wide choice of videos, music, podcasts, e-presses and games. A children’s area is also available to meet the needs of families and young passengers.
