Moment, the leading provider of entertainment and e-commerce digital services for the travel industry, partners with Nok Air, the prominent Thailand-based low-cost airline, to reshape the in-flight infotainment experience for travelers.

Founded in 2004, Nok Air is the low-cost subsidiary of the national carrier Thai Airways. It operates flights from Bangkok and Chiang Mai to some 30 cities and islands in Thailand, as well as to Yangon in Myanmar (formerly Burma). It is committed to offering its customers affordable and quality services.

To follow this objective, the company will equip its 14 Boeing 737-800s with the Flymingo Box, Moment’s IFE. This hardware server is a wireless, battery-powered solution that’s easy to transport and quick to install (no STC required). Modular and white label, the solution allows airlines to customize their digital inflight service by adding or removing modules, such as entertainment, inflight magazine, e-commerce, satisfaction surveys etc.

This innovative solution gives Nok Air passengers access to a pixel-perfect platform filled with engaging entertainment options including VOD, TV shows, games and in-seat ordering services. The solution is complemented by a crew app, enabling Nok Air’s crew to monitor the IFE system, as well as the box’s battery level. With a few clicks, the crew can also activate/deactivate streaming during announcements and manage the shop.

With Moment’s solution, Nok Air is improving its passenger experience while boosting ancillary revenues with dedicated features :

BOB “buy-on-board”

The in-seat shopping service is a dedicated feature of the platform designed to create an outstanding shopping experience and boost on-board sales of both food and duty-free. The crew app enables to open and close the shop, manage orders in an orderly fashion, keep an overview of the activity (order quantity, order status, sales revenue, etc.) and control the stock before and after the flight.

Adserver

With this new feature, airlines can develop new advertising partnerships and monetize different advertising spaces. Managed via a dedicated platform, Nok Air team can easily download ads, track performance, and optimize campaigns with analytics tool that leverages on the latest technology. The tool will provide insight into passengers’ interest patterns, enabling Nok Air to offer targeted, personalized digital opportunities to be displayed directly on passengers’ connected devices.

Panarat Jitthanongsak, Head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Nok Air shares, “We believe that this partnership with Moment is a significant step toward enhancing our passengers’ journey experience and upholding our commitment to affordability and quality. Moreover, Moment’s solution opens up new revenue opportunities, with its advertising solution, easily managed by our team. »

“Moment is delighted to partner with Nok Air on this transformative project,” says Tanguy Morel, CEO and co-founder of Moment. “By delivering our solutions, Moment aims to elevate the in-flight infotainment experience and enable airlines like Nok Air to set new industry standards.”
