Air Corsica is the main airline serving the island, carrying millions of passengers each year on domestic and European routes. With a mission rooted in public service and cultural connection, the airline wanted to modernize its onboard services while reflecting Corsican identity. By partnering with Moment, Air Corsica equipped its entire fleet with the Flymingo Box wireless IFE solution, bringing passengers a seamless, personalized digital entertainment experience.

The Challenge

Modernizing services while reflecting corsican identity

After the pandemic, Air Corsica adopted a new strategy by getting rid of paper onboard and embracing modern digital solutions that deliver variety, efficiency, and cultural immersion.

The airline sought a wireless inflight entertainment system that would:

  • Be flexible, and quick to deploy across both ATR72 and A320 aircraft
  • Support diverse passenger needs, from families on holiday to regular business travelers
  • Promote Corsican culture, with local press, films, and music alongside international blockbusters
  • Contribute to the “Ambizione 2025” sustainability program by removing paper and plastic onboard

The Solution

Moment deployed the Flymingo Box wireless IFE system across Air Corsica’s entire fleet

The rollout began in summer 2023 and quickly expanded across the entire fleet. Key features of the solution include:

  • Adaptability: 1 box for ATR72 (≈72 passengers) / 2 boxes for A320 (≈186 passengers)
  • Robust technology: up to 100 simultaneous streams, 15h battery autonomy, 4G/5G content updates
  • Cultural immersion: a tailor-made content catalog including Corsican films, music, and press (in partnership with local providers like Allindi and Corse Matin)
  • Passenger engagement tools: onboard surveys to monitor satisfaction and expectations
  • Crew support: dedicated documentation, training, and the introduction of a CrewApp to simplify onboard management
  • Based on strong passenger satisfaction and demand, Air Corsica also reinforced its collaboration with Moment through additional content partnerships and operational tools.
